Day 1C of the PPC Horseshoe Council Bluffs Series Main Event saw player after player find their way to the chip lead all day long but when the dust settled, Ron King managed to hold off the rest of the field to lead the flight.

King scored 206,500 chips for the top chip count followed by Scott Farkas in second with 164,500 and Shane Fuller just behind Farkas with 164,000.  Ken Reed-Bouley was fourth with 159,500 and David Hengen rounded out the top five with 145,500.  Also advancing is WSOP November Niner Dennis Phillips with 103,500.

74 entries were recorded in the flight taking the total for the tournament to 164 pushing us closer to the $100,000 guarantee for the Main Event.  13 players advanced from the flight raising the number of players who advanced to Day 2 up to 24.  Everyone who advanced will be back in action Sunday at 12 PM to play for the Main Event title and the four PPC Aruba Packages.  The final Day 1 flight of the Main Event is underway with cards in the air for Day 1D and registration and re-entry open until the start of Level 9 at approximately 10:20 PM.
