Contrary to what he had on his t-shirt, it looks like the river was pretty good to Michael Steele as he finished out Day 1B as the top stack and taking the overall lead in PPC Harrah’s North Kansas City Main Event.
Steele put away 330,000 chips to lead the flight with Thomas Houston just behind him at 312,000. Thomas Dewey took third with 168,000 followed by Keith Murrell with 128,000, Andrew Schmidt with 65,000 and Monty Schmidt at 55,000.
Play ended in the flight at the 16 minute mark of Level 16 setting the new starting point for when play resumes for Day 2 on Sunday.
Day 1B advanced another six players taking the current total that are on to Day 2 up to 12. The flight also added another 52 entries putting the total up to 102 as we near the Main Event’s $50,000 guarantee. Two more starting flights remain on Saturday at 10 AM and 6 PM. Everyone who advances will be back in action at 12 PM on Sunday.
